Hughlings...Santa Fe

Just back from a 3 day seminar on The Brothers Karamazov at St. John's College in Santa Fe. All sorts of thoughts swimming like slow goldfish in my head. "Active love...resurrection...the Grand Inquisitor...where's my scotch?" Did you know that the Russian translation of "Karamazov" is something akin to "black greasy mud?" I didn't. Those poor brothers were cursed from the beginning.
