Easter Bunnies....Natural Habitat

These adorable young women were wearing pink bunny ears as they worked at Soda City market on Main Street.  I tried to be discreet about snapping a few photographs. As you can see, I was discovered.

If, this Easter morning, you are wondering what to wear with your bunny ears, might I suggest a coral skirt and pale blue t-shirt such as you see here. Kaitlin looks quite pretty, no?  I also love the shadows they're casting.
Of course, don bunny ears, and you'll encounter more than one merry-making prankster. Photographer Molly Harrell (right) seemed compelled to add rabbit ears of her own to dear Katie's. Perhaps, for me, it's bunny karma. I do believe I spoiled (or perhaps improved, who's to say?) a Time magazine photograph of Margaret Thatcher once by doing the very same thing.  To be perfectly clear, the former prime minister was also wearing Easter bunny ears. How, indeed, was I to resist?

Otis....Around Soda City

I first bumped into Otis (quite literally, our bicycles bumped) while making my way through Five Points.  I admire the gentleman's style and insisted on a photo.  As I've mentioned before, Otis's socks once had their own fan page on Facebook.  One can see why.
Later, I saw him again--at the Soda City Market.  That's when I overheard him telling some people that he'd purchased his trousers from a magician, not something that even a fashion anthropologist hears every day. The sweater, he said, he'd found at a thrift store.

Denim+Details....Soda City Market

I painted some porch furniture this weekend, and I assure you, I did not look as fetching as this young woman.  I much liked the way she'd layered the denim jacket over a hoodie and tied her hair back with a pretty floral scarf.  Perhaps you might expect such from a SCAD-trained designer who gives decrepit furniture new life with her flair for painting it.  Perhaps she could work her wonders by using a little paint on decrepit me!

Irish Princess....Main Street

I caught sight of this marvelous woman as she was leaving her office late this afternoon.  What a delight! Such joie de vivre! (Not exactly an Irish expression, I realize, but certainly the spirit of a St. Patrick's celebration.)
