Sailor Moon....Main Street

I encountered this charming lass a few weeks ago at an anime festival. I post it in eager anticipation of the costumes I hope to see later today.

Golden Garb....Finleaf

I was delighted to discover this slender woman wearing a glittering gold shift dress and booties.  I'm also quite fond of the side ponytail, which always makes me warmly recall cute Cissy from the television program A Family Affair.

It had been some months since I'd seen the object of my enduring crush--and dear reader, my heart is still a-flutter from the encounter. Here she is, the always stylish, darling Peg, wearing a a fitted dress, boots, and a marvelous scarf.  She was celebrating the Autumn re-opening of Finleaf on Devine Street, and I happened to be strolling by.  Alas, Mr. Peg arrived soon after I did, he looking handsome and trim and I, well, a bit scruffy and disheveled in comparison

Kaitlin....Soda City

Darling Kaitlin was assisting with the new market on Main Street--and was wearing her Soda City t-shirt so well!  I especially liked the pale blue shirt paired with the yellow cardigan.

Anna K.....Color Me Rad

I had heard rumours that people were running pell-mell through the city's streets this morning, all the while being pelted with paint balls.  I was happy to encounter Anna Katherine at the Soda City market on Main, who explained it all.  A.K. is a fellow style maven and tends to be in-the-know.  She assured me this was not some sort of Pollack-inspired terrorist group at work but a fun-filled road race called Color Me Rad.  She looks adorable, no?  I understand hers was a white t-shirt when the race began.

Yellow Dress....Soda City

This young lady's winsome style made her stand out in the crowd on Main Street.
I caught a second shot of her later.  Perhaps this is the appropriate time for me to admit that I've a lifelong fondness for two-toned shoes.

Bicycle Chic....Main Street

I have a particular place in my heart reserved for stylish cyclists.  Doesn't this woman look confident and chic? At first, I thought she was wearing one of those multi-directional striped knits that seem to be everywhere at the moment, but upon closer examination....
...I discovered that she had rolled the top of her knit dress down--even more chic!--not to mention practical.

A tip of the hat to the Jam Room Music Festival and Summit Cycles for accommodating cyclists in such style, by the way.  I do love a bicycle valet!

Chatman....Main Street

I was trying a new-to-me cocktail at The Oak Table, a Lumberjack (a maple-y, Canadianesque alternative to my usual Old Fashioned), when I spied this fetching young woman crossing Gervais Street (the bar at The Oak Table has a fabulous view of the corner of Main and Gervais, it seems).

The tippling crowd urged me to scurry to the street and photograph her.  So I did.  I loved the way she'd assembled it all--and no doubt, startled her by accosting her on the sidewalk to say so.  She was very gracious and told me her name.  I heard it as "Chapman."

"With a 't'," she corrected me, then turned to show me one of her earrings.
Delightful! I do hope Chatman enjoyed the rest of her evening as much as I did, for I returned to my seat with the excellent view.  May I recommend a Lumberjack, followed by a deconstructed S'more?  It's all the fun of camping without having to remove twigs from your hair.

Angi....Soda City

Angi looked adorable, I thought, perfectly attired for an autumn morning at the local farmers' market.
She wanted me to see that she was sporting a new t-shirt, one to promote the delectable creations of GnomeGrown Mushrooms.

Window Shopping....Toronto

Since I view shopping as both the hunting and gathering of these modern times, when I travel I relish the opportunity for a bit of window shopping.  Earlier this week, I ventured out in the city of Toronto....
One can learn a lot in this fashion.  For example, I had no idea that it was the Canadian Thanksgiving, but closed shops plus helpful window displays made it abundantly clear!
I was intrigued by this store (above) on Queen Street, located next to one of the few stores (pictured below) that happened to be open, holiday or no.
One should always be prepared for festivities, yes? As that doyenne of holiday celebration might say, "It's a good thing."
Indeed, well done, Toronto! A lovely city, though dear reader, I am quite happy to have returned home.  Hope to see you about town this weekend.

Adorable Traveler....Airport

I was completely taken with this young woman's perfect travel ensemble. She was, quite rightly, taking a photo of herself--with ticket in hand. I wonder where her adventures were taking her.

Boot Socks....711 Whaley

I am fond of colourful boot socks, so was thrilled to see them peeking out from these boots.
I do believe the young lady is an equestrian....which reminds me that The Tack Room in Camden carries an excellent selection of whimsical boot socks, if you're interested in such things.

Artful Beauty....Devine Street

This pretty woman was delighted by a child's work of art, but I was more interested in the creative knit top she was wearing, which reminded me of a personal favourite, granny squares (if perhaps Granny had a penchant for hallucinogens).  Wonderful! I love the colours, the unexpected shapes and how the sweater was the perfect weight and style for a too-warm autumn afternoon.
