Tasa & Reid....Saluda Avenue

Before there was Penelope Cruz, there was Tasa. I fell for her first, but it's old Reidy who managed to snag her. As I may have mentioned, Reid and I are chums from those wild days in Madrid under Franco in the late 50s. We were introduced by no less than Ava Gardner. She, I recall, hailed from one of the Carolinas (at the time they were a vast wilderness to me. who knew I would one day reside here?) I was new to Madrid, and Reid tried to convince me that knickers and capes were all the rage. I don't recall ever seeing a single Madrileno in such a getup, but perhaps you have. Apparently, he is trying to perpetrate the same scam here. I love it....particularly the tasseled sock.
