Bob....Beltline

A while back, I met Bob at the cobbler's shop. We were both buying black shoe polish. Since then, we've become quite chummy. He's well-read, a collector of guns, guitars, cars, and (to my utter delight) a bit of an anglophile.

On this day, he wore a Ralph Lauren Polo suit and a pink striped shirt from Target. Or as two Southern sisters in my bridge club like to say—"Tar-jay."

If only I had gotten a better shot of his alligator shoes.

I must know - who is your cobbler? Do you recommend?

I quite prefer Five Points Shoe Repair, 2005 Devine St. They've worked wonders on my shanks, toe boxes, tongues, uppers and vamps.
