I was enjoying a very large latte at the counter of Drip in Five Points, when I felt a wave of good will wash over me. Was it the spirit of the season? Or was I responding to the subliminal message emanating from the words tattooed on Carri's arms? We chatted (she's a darling young woman) and she told me she'd just recently had the two words imprinted above her elbows.
I relate, in particular, to the word above the right one, for with my advanced years, it's a skill that seems to come quite naturally. In other words, I may still be able to hold a grudge....but I may not be able to remember why!
