Defying Humidity....Shades of Green
Perhaps I was having an Ebenezer Scrooge moment. Perhaps the Ghost of Summer Yet to Come had, in fact, brought me here to glimpse impending hell. It was surely hot enough. And there were hundreds of little demons whirling over every square inch of the premises.
Then, like a messenger from heaven, this woman appeared, a study in greens and white. Crisp, cool, calm--she gave me reason to hope that I might not, in fact, have died and gone to Hades. That I might, in fact, have been led against my will to someplace slightly less ghastly--family night at Edventure Children's Museum.
Bless you, angel in green. And a bit of advice for you, dear reader: careful what you wager when you make a bet with an 8-year-old neighbour.
