Brielle....Benedict College

Being a bit of a nerd myself, I was smitten by this t-shirt proclaiming "nerd love". Indeed, I admired the young woman's entire ensemble--bold top, skinny jeans, and matching plimsolls in a bright colour. That specific shoe style, I noticed, was worn by more than one student. A campus canvas trend, do you happen to know?

Adorable Brielle is a freshman at Benedict College, just arriving from Long Island. She is, among other things, a member of the school's renowned gospel choir, and was on her way to a rehearsal when I encountered her. She told me she found her shirt at Macy's. (That reminds me, I must send a little nerd love to photographer and friend Molly Harrell: thank you, dear, for taking this photograph for me!)
